Prosyntix is currently recruiting for a direct-hire Tenable Vulnerability Manager for a client that will support a government entity in Columbia, SC.  This role is hybrid position. Our client is looking for an experienced individual with Tenable Security Center and Tenable Vulnerability Management. This role will be a part of the organizations expanding footprint with their client.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Vulnerability Assessment:
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments using Tenable Security Center and Tenable Vulnerability Management.
• Utilize scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities across customer assets.
• Analyze scan results and generate comprehensive vulnerability reports.

2. Vulnerability Management:
• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and potential impact.
• Develop and implement vulnerability management strategies and remediation plans.
• Monitor and track vulnerability remediation progress.

3. Tenable Security Center Administration Expertise:
• Maintain and optimize the Tenable Security Center infrastructure.
• Configure and fine-tune scanning policies to ensure thorough vulnerability coverage.
• Keep abreast of the latest Tenable Security Center features and updates.

4. Collaboration:
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure timely vulnerability remediation.
• Act as a subject matter expert on vulnerability management best practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about the security posture and potential risks.

5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Document all vulnerability assessment findings and remediation activities.
• Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports to management and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents and vulnerabilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in vulnerability management using Tenable Security Center and Tenable Vulnerability Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of vulnerability assessment methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is a plus.
