Prosyntix is currently recruiting for a remote Sr. Network Engineer for a client headquartered in Charlotte, NC. This role is a 6-month contract supporting a customer of the client. Ideally candidates will be in traveling distance to the datacenter sites (Greenville, SC & Spartanburg SC) but that is not a requirement.
Job Description
- Responsibilities include a wide range of networking tasks, with a primary focus on Cisco route/switch, Meraki, and Nexus.
- Design and implement Network Solutions: Work closely with the client and the internal team to understand network requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure network solutions using Cisco route/switch and Meraki technologies.
- Cisco Route/Switch Expertise: Showcase expert-level proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches, ensuring seamless data transmission and network performance.
- Handle the implementation and maintenance of switches, ensuring high availability, low-latency, and efficient data center network operations.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a subject matter expert for complex network issues, identifying root causes, and providing effective solutions to maintain optimal network performance.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
Qualifications:
Certifications:
No certifications required, however related certs would include CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent, showcasing advanced knowledge in Cisco route/switch and other networking technologies.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining complex networks.
Installation and Cabling: Proficiency in overseeing network infrastructure installation and cabling, ensuring industry standards and best practices are followed.

Successful candidates will be required to completed a standard background check and drug screen.
