Prosyntix is currently recruiting a Cloud Systems Architect for a client. This role will sit remotely with less than 10% travel (Arlington, VA). This opportunity is an indefinite contract with an employer that supports a government entity. Successful candidates will be able to obtain a secret level security clearance (us citizen, extensive background and financial check) and pass a drug screen.
Key Requirements:
A Completed Bachelors or Masters Degree in a technical field; we may consider a certain amount of AWS or Cloud experience in lieu of formal degree. (Bachelors + 8; or High School + 14)
A minimum of 8+ years work experience managing a cloud enterprise.
Must possess or be capable of obtaining a US Government Security Clearance (must be a US Citizen).
Must possess a strong sense of initiative and be self-driven.
Must have excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills in English.
Suitability for employment will be determined by a background investigation.
Experience in System Administration, including System Design, Configuration, Maintenance, and Upgrades
Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
Experience migrating and supporting large and complex systems in an enterprise environment in the cloud
Experience managing cloud infrastructure in a production environment to ensure high availability and reliability.
Knowledge of change management tools (Atlassian/JIRA)
Automating system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and other common DevOps tools and practices
Knowledge of Federal requirements and compliance models including but not limited to FedRAMP HIGH, GovCloud. NIST, and PII standards.
Understanding of cloud-based methodologies
Familiarity and proficiency of the AWS GovCloud platform
A working familiarity of major DevOps containerization platforms such as AWS EKS/ECS, RHOSA (RedHat OpenShift), K8 (Kubernetes), and vmWare Tanzu
General Information Technology concepts including authentication and networking.
